Τριάντα ερασιτέχνες φωτογράφοι, σε ένα ταξίδι όπου το βλέμμα έλκεται από εικόνες σημαντικές για τον καθένα, επιχειρούν να φωτίσουν περιοχές του εξωτερικού και του εσωτερικού τους κόσμου. Τα βλέμματά τους συναντώνται, άλλοτε συγκλίνουν και άλλοτε αποκλίνουν στην προσπάθειά τους να δημιουργήσουν μία ενότητα.
According to ancient Greek philosophy, we perceive reality by a wave of fire that leaves our eyes and falls onto objects. What does this fire have to do with Ulysses’ view?
Every human being has a light inside them, with which they can view reality and move forward. That light is a Ulysses whose eyes, during his journey, are attracted to pictures that to him are important.
When Ulysses is a photographer, his internal light goes through the camera lens and falls on a part of reality that he chooses to turn into a photograph.
In this “Ulysses’s view” exhibition, thirty amateur photographers attempt to shed light onto areas of both their internal and their external world. In trying to make a whole, their views meet up, sometimes coming together and other times coming apart.
If the visitor’s view meets the one of the photographers’, photography can be a great means of interactive communication and Ulysses will come across Ithaca…
